Established in 2001, SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak recognized the full potential of the region at an early stage. Due to close proximity to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and the well known Richelieu Rock, Khao Lak is rapidly developing into one of the main diving centers in Thailand.

SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak offers all known top dive sites of the northern Andaman Sea in safe and comfortable daytrips.

Additional to our main office in central Khao Lak we operate a logistic center with Nitrox/ Air filling station and workshop at the harbor in Tab Lamu.

Our cooperation with IQ-Dive, born in the difficult times right after the "Indian Ocean Tsunami" proved to be so successful that we decided to continue for the time to come.

The SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak is under the German management of Wolly Woerner and his Thai wife Ann.

Wolly Woerner, through his 11 years experience in various SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ in the Maldives well familiar with the diving industry takes care of the agency and administration, as well as in close cooperation with iQ-Dive of a smooth dive operation.

His wife Ann is responsible for the catering on board 'M/V Nam Sai' as well as matters related to the Thai staff.

They are supported by a team of experienced, multi-lingual instructors and diveguides who run a reliable, safe, professional and service-oriented diveoperation .

FACILITY & EQUIPMENT

Our logistic center in Tap Lamu includes a modern Nitrox/ Air filling-station. The state of the art equipment comprises a NRC Nitrox-membrane with 2 x Bauer Mariner.

Operated by SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak the unit as well as all the equipment is under the supervision of a qualified technician.

There are a total of 120 x 12 liters aluminum tanks and a wide range of quality brand-name rental equipment available.

Our air-conditioned classroom is located in Khao Lak center. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped, it provides a convenient atmosphere for easy and stress free learning. Our office provides free ADSL Highspeed Internet access and coffee/tea counter. There is a professional photo lab right next door.

DIVE OPERATION

Build by the SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak and commencing operation on 30.10.2006, 'M/V Nam Sai' offers daily excursions to the top dive sites of the Similan Islands & Koh Bon/Tachai.

The local 'Boonsung & Premchai' wrecks, just off the coast, are dived from our Longtail boats.

Day excursions to Richelieu Rock will be arranged on request.

With that, SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak offers an all comprehensive daytrip schedule.

Transfer from/to your resort in Khao Lak are included. Daytrips on 'M/V Nam Sai' include , breakfast, lunch, a light afternoon snack, drinking water, cold/warm beverages, fruits, snacks & lunch. There is a daily fresh towel. All dives are guided by one of our experienced professionals, we dive in small groups.

Like all SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ worldwide we in Khao Lak offer Nitrox 32 free of charge.

DIVE TRAINING

As member of the PADI International Resort Association we conduct our courses according to the internationally recognized standards of PADI in small classes and in a relaxed stress-free atmosphere.

The Similan Islands has a variety of dive sites with various difficulty levels, therefore offering perfect conditions for diver training, from Discover Scuba Diving to Open Water Diver and on to the Advanced Open Water Diver or selected Specialties.

Nitrox is getting increasingly popular. The SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ worldwide recognized that already years ago and as a consequence is offering Nitrox 32 for free to certified Nitrox divers. To benefit, we start daily Nitrox courses or we can integrate Nitrox in your Open Water or Advanced Open Water Diver training.

SAFETY

Sub Aqua Divecenter, diving Khao Lak, dive Similan islands: DAN

SUB AQUA DiveCenter™ Khao Lak works closely with the New Hampshire Insurance. Our contract covers all aspects and parts of daily operations. The insurance sum however is limited.

In addition you can become a member with the Badalveda Diving Medicine Network, organized through the international renowned Bangkok Hospital Group. The membership (300,- Baht) is one year and in whole Thailand valid. The recompression chambers are located in the Hospitals. The Bangkok Phuket Hospital, is a one hour drive from Khao Lak.

There are 2 more chambers in Phuket. In general, we recommend any active diver a membership in one of the worldwide operating networks, e.g. DAN (Divers Alert Network).
